Disney+ app crashing on iPhone 6 after downloading shows

Has anyone else had issues and found a solution for this?

The Disney+ app works great on my old iPhone which I give my kids on long plane/car trips. However, there seems to be a cut off with how much I've downloaded and causing the app to crash. If I download 10 or 20 Gb of shows, the app functions no problem. Somewhere between 30-40 Gb worth of shows the app crashes repeatedly while trying to open, no matter what I do. I know I'm asking a strange request, having downloaded so much stuff, but passing the phone between kids means needing a lot of variety.

iPhone storage full? No difference (128 Gb total, 62 Gb free with 30 Gb downloaded)

Disney+ app updated? No difference

iPhone OS updated? No difference

Close all the apps? No difference

Restart iPhone? No difference

Delete Disney+ app and reinstall? Works great!

• Download 10-20 Gb of shows? Works great!
• Download 30-40 Gb of shows? Crashes again
