Messages icon not showing that I have a message?

Messages icon would show that you have a new message. Now I’m not getting a counter on any new messages.

is anyone else having this problem?

I just checked again & it’s now working.. thank you. I just turn it off then back on

Have you tried checking your notification settings?

Open Settings > Notification Center > look for the messages app > turn the badges on.

Thank you for that. Yes notifiers was on.. on the icon page it would show a number if there was any.
