I understand from your post that you accidentally blocked a follower and would like to unblock them. This article has information on how to block a follower, but the same steps can be used to unblock a follower as well:

"To unfollow someone or block a follower, tap or click the person, tap or click the more button , then choose Unfollow or Block."

You will need to search for the user by their username. Once you have their profile pulled up, you can then tap unblock which will be a red button under their profile picture. If they have blocked you then you will not see their profile in your search results.
