I have had an MP4 file sent to me via we-transfer which I have downloaded and viewed through the safari browser. It is time limited and expires in a few days. I wish to save the mp4 file to my iPad but can’t find any way to do this. Can any one help before the link expires?

Thanks I did have a go at this and the mp4 file may have been saved to the chrome app on the iPad bit I’m not sure. It may be the file just downloads in the chrome browser as it does in safari but not saving. I suppose I’ll just have to wait and see if the link still plays when the wetransfer file expires
Not too happy with apple about this. it should be straight forward and intuitive to save mp4 files to your iPad.
Do you have access to a computer? Honestly it may be faster to use a computer to see if you can download them to that computer then transfer those files to the ipad.
No, I only have my iPad Air iOS 12 with me.
You can probably test it now by putting your ipad into airplane mode, which will turn off the antennas and block the internet.
