My ipad mini is disabled. I tried the way shown on apple restore page to restore but on logging in i don't even see the screen that says "restore". Help

You need to perform "specific" gestures when you connect your iPad to your computer.

Thanks but despite trying to enter and restart the ipad my itunes doesn't get to the point where it would show "enter recovery mode or restore to factory setting".
What iPad mini are you using? with which iOS version?
What iTunes version is on your computer?
