Bluetooth Keyboard switching CMD and OPT keys after Rebooting from Bootcamp

Hello,

I have a Logitech K380 bluetooth keyboard that works works great on Mac and Windows running on Bootcamp. However, a weird issue happens when I go from Bootcamp back to the Mac. The CMD and Option/Alt keys are switched! I know I'm not the first person on earth with this problem (1, 2) but I couldn't find a solution.

The only fix is to keep unpairing and pairing the keyboard again until they switch back. While I know that there's a Modifier Keys setting in System Preferences, it just compounds the problem, because sometimes when I restart the Mac, the keyboard decides to go back to normal, only now they're switched again because of the Modifier Keys setting. Anyone else with this issue manage to figure it out?

You should contact Logitech for support.

You could create an Automator or AppleScript to toggle those keyboard modifier settings. Not ideal, but at least all you need to do is run the script when you realize the keys are backwards. I don't know if there is any way to detect the swap with the script so you could have it run as a login item to automatically configure the modifier keys the correct way. I'm not familiar with either Automator or AppleScripts to advise you on the particulars.
