Cracked screen
I have an I watch series 3 stainless steel. It has developed a hairline crack around 3 sides of the watch on the rounded edge. Will Apple fix this. It is definitely a defect.

I own a series 1watch, a HomePod,3 Apple TV’s, an iMac, MacBook, AirPod pros, iPad Pro, iPad mini, now I have a series 3 watch that’s 2 years old and has just died in the middle of the afternoon. All I was doing was wearing it. I paid almost $800 dollars 2 years ago almost to the day. The crack looks exactly like the crack that is pictured online that is being replaced. I also own an iPhone 8+. I pay iCloud 9.99 a month for cloud service. This is beyond anything that I would ever expect from Apple. Looks like it’s time to switch companies. I’ll sell it all and never look back

Apple only covers this for the Aluminium Series 2 and Series 3, unfortunately: Screen Replacement Program for Aluminum Models of Apple Watch Series 2 and Series 3
You can pay for a screen replacement, which costs $329 in the US: watch Service Pricing
If you had read the Terms of Use when you joined here you would know this is a user-to-user technical support site operated by Apple. The only employees that post here do so when a question has not been responded to in 12 - 24 hours and they are clearly labeled as such. So I repeat, I don't care. Be very careful with your android devices they have 99% of the malware for phones, and you probably know that you will need to run multiple anti-virus/antimalware software on your Windows computer.
I cracked a sapphire screen just like that on a watch, which cost much more than the Apple Watch, and took it to be repaired. The jeweler was able to use his loupe and show me exactly where the blow occurred on my crystal and how it cracked after that, in a similar pattern than yours. You can't replace just the crystal on a Watch because of the battery and sealant, they have to replace the entire Watch. They did replace the crystal on my analog watch and it cost much more. 10 years ago.
That is not an unusual break on a sapphire crystal. And yes, I shattered one of my other analog watches once. Didn't even remember what I struck with it.
Because you didn't hit is hard enough in the right place. And square sapphire crystals seem to resist shattering better than round ones do. If you wait until the stores are fully open and take it in they can probably show you the point of impact or you can take it to a jeweler that does watch repairs and they can do the same. Or use a loupe if you have one or a magnifying glass.
That is not from a defect, the aluminum ones with the ION-X glass are the ones that do that. They also scratch easier.
there is no sign of impact/ nothing...it’s perfect except for the crack that you can feel when you rub your finger over it. It looks like there is a protective screen cover on it that you can peel off but there isn’t one. On three sides only. I’m taking it into the Apple store tomorrow. Thanks for the spelling lesson. You are so smart 😂
I don't care, do whatever suits you. But that is an impact crack, I'm a little surprised with it being sapphire it did not shatter.
You should care. Bad customer service on your part.
It didn’t shatter because it’s a defect. You are right about that part if an impact was hard enough to create a crack around the rounded part of the face 3/4 around, why didn’t it shatter 🤔
I’ve looked at it under a loop. Thank you for your time
It's loupe.
Did you see where the impact was?
If you do think your breakage was from a defect in your particular screen you could call AppleCare and ask to be transferred to Customer Service.
