Ipad pro writing experience

Hi,

I currently use an iPad pro 11 for notes taking, but the screen tends to be slippery for me. I have been thinking about purchasing one of the matte screen protectors to improve my writing, but I'm afraid that i might damage the Pencil tip. Hence i would like to know your opinion about matte screen protectors, if they do damage the apple pencil tip. In addition, it would be really helpful if i could get any recommendations for the screen protectors, since i don't want to damage or scrub off the pencil tip, in any way.

Thanks!

iPad Pro, iPadOS 13

Depending upon the model of your iPad Pro, you’ll have different options for screen protectors. A “naked” screen and screen with a tempered glass screen protector will have a different “feel”.

Some of the very best glass protectors, if available for your model of iPad Pro, are manufactured by Zagg:

Some contributors here recommended the Paperlike range of film screen protectors.

Matt screen protectors, by definition, have an intentionally higher coefficient of friction - and will therefore wear the tip of your pencil somewhat quicker than a smooth glass surface. Remember, the Apple Pencil tips will wear out - and need to be replaced as needed.
