Need support for iTunes directory/library on a PC in 2020

When I sign into iTunes on my PC running Windows 10, I seem to be missing almost all of my imported CDs from my iTunes Library. All that appears are the Purchased items from over the years. I put in a Support Request via online last week, but it forces one to select a device, and my issue is not with my iPad nor my iPod. It's with my missing music which was uploaded to the cloud via my PC, and for some reason now does not show up in the library for playing, downloading or anything else. How can I get someone to help me restructure or merge my various .itl, itdb and/or other key files and folders??? Is there even such a thing as support for this type of problem, or do I just kiss my CD files goodbye?

Windows, Windows 10

Hello Music4LMW,

It sounds like your iTunes Library may be missing from iCloud when logging in on your PC. iCloud can help to sync your music across devices however the music files are not stored in the iCloud they are stored on the original device.

" If you choose to replace the music library on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, the music files on the device are deleted. The original files are kept on the Mac you previously synced them from, and iTunes Store purchases are always available to download again."

If this is the original device perhaps a file was moved or deleted, Check out these article which may help locate the files.

Access your music library on all your devices

Move your iTunes library to another computer

Cheers!

Hi, MoonJ, thanks for the reply but not sure how iCloud is the solution to my issue since I've never, ever connected any of my imported CDs into iCloud.

I spent days uploading an extensive CD library to iTunes years ago. Until recently I had two iPods that worked flawlessly. I had successfully organized my entire iTunes Library and upload all of the content to the iTunes cloud without ever touching iCloud. I was happily able to see, play and download any of my purchased or imported music and videos while on my PC.

Now when I log into iTunes, the only thing available is what has been purchased, and funny enough, even the folder named Purchased is now missing from my library list. None of my imported music is showing for selection.

So I imagine the true answer is that iTunes is a thing of the past as is the concept of good customer service. I can't get a direct answer about iTunes nor my apparently obsolete iPods. And no, iCloud will not help, nor will the purchase of a new iPod (if one could be found) nor is Apple Music anything I even want to consider. Not that Apple cares, but I'm done now. Thanks for the previous decent and pleasurable products and services. They will be missed.

Thanks again for your courteous response, MoonJ. Stay wonderful.
