ipad air will not charge after recent update, about May 17,2020

I recently kept on ignoring the update in my settings, as so many times after an update there is a problem but apparently it did an automatic update. Since then my ipad will not charge. I have switched plugs, cords, outlets, clean the port and still it will not charge. U tried my husbands and all the plugs, cords, outlets, etc allow his to charge with no problem, but his has not automatically updated yet. Any advise?
