Update Timing Out

Running OS 10.14.6. Have been trying all week to update and have been unable to update software. Each time, I receive an error message "Update timed out." Any suggestions?

You don't mention if you are trying to upgrade to Catalina or install the Mojave security update. In either case, try while in Safe Mode.
