Warranty of Iphone

Hi I have bought an iPhone 11 Pro from my local store Starhub and the warranty was activated a day before I had the phone on hand. I wanted to check if the warranty is activated once an sim card is inserted as I'm suspecting it might be a used phone. Please advise.
