CCC restoring after the system was downgraded

Restoring from a CCC clone (in OS 10.15.2) back to it's original home, but after it had the system downgraded by the repair facility to High Sierra (which was the original OS), should I erase the destination (and it's old system) or not.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

I did that and it worked fine. I had tried earlier and had some issues, but once I refined what was to be restored it ran fine.

I'm back up on the restored MacBook Pro in 10.15.4
