iCloud contacts wont sync with iphone

iCloud contacts won't sync with iphone- everything else will though? Showing ZERO contacts

contacts not synced I have an iphone 8, contacts will not sync with icloud nor across my other apple products. Contacts are turned on to sync with icloud and yet they do not. I cannot fathom why not.

turn off and then turn on contacts back again in icloud on your phone.
