I'm hoping to be able to use an app on my iPad during a remote learning lesson with a student by sharing my Macbook screen after I mirror my iPad to my Macbook. Right now, I'm not seeing an "arrangement" tab on my "Displays" settings and am unable to turn on "AirPlay Display". Will I be able to do this once I upgrade to Catalina or is my Macbook not compatible with mirroring?

You can only mirror you screen to an AppleTV or AirPlay 2 enabled Smart TV. I don't see anything about mirroring to a Mac.
