I don't have a battery health button on my 10.15.5 system.

I am using a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015). Is a newer MacBook Pro required for this feature to appear?

Does your Mac have Thunderbolt 3 ports?


According to Apple, Battery Health is only supported on notebooks with Thunderbolt 3 ports:


Battery health management is on by default when you buy a new Mac notebook with macOS 10.15.5, or after you upgrade to macOS 10.15.5 on a Mac notebook with Thunderbolt 3 ports.
