You are incorrect.
The free, standard, one-year AppleCare covers battery and manufacturing defects and issues ONLY.
The free, one-year AppleCare DOES NOT cover any type in incidental or accidental damage or user damage.
ONLY PAID AppleCare+ covers incidental/accidental and user damage.
If you are in the U.S. and you purchased your iPad in the U.S., this would apply.

Yes, I do know this. I’m talking about the main things that hurt a Apple device, such as a drop from a high height resulting in cracks.
Everyone makes mistakes because none of us are perfect. I am always happy when someone points out a mistake or simply adds more/correct information - that is the only way to learn and I am happy because the OP gets the best answer possible that way.
AppleCare covers EVERYTHING on ANYTHING it’s covered with its protection plan.

We’re not talking about you.
We’re talking about providing incorrect information.
I’m just going to focus on something else.
Ok, I’m leaving this conversation if someone else talks about me.
Mainly because my knowledge on AppleCare is slim to none, as I only focus on Macs, iPods, iPhones, iPads and apple software.
