Bluetooth keyboard not working with certain AppleTV apps?

Noticed my Bluetooth keyboard not working with certain AppleTV apps, including YouTube, HBO Maxx, HBOGo, etc. I have tried to unpair and pair it, re-booting AppleTV....nothing seems to work. Never had issue before, just in the past few weeks. I have the most current AppleTV 4K. Anyone else having this issue?

But then, I guess after update 13.4 some apps seem not to respond to the keyboard anymore. Pairing to apple 4k YouTube app I have a Logitech K811 Bluetooth keyboard that I have paired to my apple 4K TV box and it works fine. However, it will not seem to pair with the YouTube app I downloaded from the Apple app store. Any suggestions?

Magic Keyboard doesn't work on YouTube app on Apple TV 4K As stated in title. I have a Magic Keyboard paired with my new Apple TV 4K. The Keyboard is great for entering text and controlling the Apple TV 4K, but YouTube stands out as the only app that doesn't accept keyboard input. Oddly, it does work with the Apple TV remote, so I can only assume Google decided that they only want us to use the remote and are digging their heels in on other peripherals. Very annoying. I would assume that it's something to do with Google being anticompetitive etc but the purchase has already been made. You lost Google. Get over it, get over yourselves, and make the keyboard work in your lonely app.

It is up to those application’s developers whether they elect to support external keyboards or not.

Really?? That is good to know. I thought that it would automatically work, since supported on the Apple TV. Thanks for the info.
