Ive ipod . pls advise.in details

Ive ipod toch earlier version...trying to connect with my laptop with Windows8.In laptop from device manager updated bus controller driver couple times .Ipod is tuned on , charged, still finding no way to connect my ipod to laptop. pls advise.in details

Ive tried with windows10 with different computer also...same procedure....not able to connect also.
