I can’t connect to a server

Hi! I have an iPad mini 2 in iOS 12 and I don’t know how to connect to a server and I tried it on my iOS 13 iPad 6 and it said “There was a problem connecting to the server. Check the server name or IP address and then try again. If you continue to have problems, contact your administrator.” Does anyone know how to get it to work? I’m trying to login to Dropbox and I don’t have a VPN either, does anyone know the solution?

To start with, this is the only way I can "contact" you. This is a user to user support forum and Apple does not participate here.

As I said in the beginning, you need to explain what it is that you are actually doing to try and contact a server. That error can be from any number of things. If you cannot provide an answer to that here, there is no way for me to help. I certainly cannot see your device. If you cannot explain, then you are going to have to contact Apple support directly for assistance. Use the Contact Support link at the top of the page.

What are you trying to do to connect to this server? What is it for? Is this the only error message you see? There are a number of reasons this could appear. It could be a problem with the DNS server being unable to resolve the name of the server into an IP address. It could be a bad spelling of the server that could cause that error? Are you using a VPN? You are going to need to explain the issue a little more clearly for assistance.
