How to get a refund for a subscription

I downloaded an app to my device which I then deleted quickly after. It was never used but then a little while after the app authorised and automatic renewal on the subscription which I was unaware would happen. I have now been charged £54.99 for an app that was deleted immediately after download, I have now cancelled the subscription but am having trouble getting my money refunded. Can anyone help?
