I’ve got a new iPad 10.5. I can’t seem to get the split screen to function. Whenever I try to move an app from the Dock, I get the delete/share/edit home screen option. Am I doing something wrong or not understanding process. Thanks for any insights.

You are holding down on the icon too long. Hold down firmly and move the icon quickly.

Read my post again. Your touch does need a little work. Just hold down and drag the icon. Don’t hold down and wait. Just hold down and drag.
Thanks again for the assistance. Appears the problem was the app I had open first - Chrome. I tried it with Safari open instead and got split screen to work. Thanks again

Thank you for responding. I read this 2 or 3 times, and researched other web sources before bringing my problem here. I am simply unable to tap and drag an app out of the dock to do anything other than to delete it or edit the home screen. Perhaps my touch isn’t right, but it doesn’t work.
