Apple weather saying I am in Solano before auto changing to current location

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today with the Weather app. It sounds like another city opens in the Weather app for a few seconds.

Is Settings > Privacy > Locations Services > Weather set to "While Using"? Do you live near Solano? It's possible that the data connection is routed through there.

Do you see Solano in the list of cities? If so, you can delete it: About the Weather app and icons on your iPhone and iPod touch.

I’m having the same issue as the other two posters. My location is showing up as in Solano in the weather app’s preview when I swipe all the way left. I’ve never even heard of Solano before this happened and my location settings are set to “always” for weather, so it’s not that. Clearly there’s a bug on Apple’s end and it’s not a user error.

This keeps happening to my iphone 11. The weather widget when you swipe left. It stays on Salano for a long time too even after turning the phone completely off several times. A bug Apple seems to not have on the priority list.

Hi, I am in New York and changing to Solano, Columbia. Apple should let weather app know about the bugs and they can fix it. So many identity thefts happening and I don’t like to see location change. Apple should fix this ASAP

I’m having the same issue with Solano appearing on my weather widget every so often. It switches back to my location but appears again randomly. Please explain to me why this happens on my IPad and my IPhone? I’m nowhere near this place!

I also see this and I am nowhere near A place called Solano, neither do I have it in the list of cities in my weather app.

I have the same issue. I have nothing to do with Solano, never been there, not in my city list, it’s just showed up to my weather app a few weeks ago all the sudden. Can Apple

fix the bug?

Same here! Just noticed it today! It says Solano briefly before changing to my default city.

Same here. Rebooting only temporary fix the issue. It goes back to display Selano

Strange because there were no updates installed. It just started to show Selano

Same problem here except for me the city is Lago Agrio which apparently is in Ecuador

problem was fixed for a few weeks. now its back showing Solano in the widget screen

Why Solano? What can be causing this strange behaviour?

Having the same issues as everybody else with the Weather app showing up Solano instead of my local weather first sounds like it’s an issue on apples and I don’t know thank you

I’m having the same problem. I’ve never been to Solano and keep my Weather app on “weather”. Solano instantly changes to my location when I open the weather app but remains Solano when I swipe right and access the weather widget.

I was able to get the weather widget to change to my location by rebooting my phone but this morning I’m back in Solano. Clearly a bug! 🐛 🐜 🕷
