Excluding a word or words in a 'mail' search

When I search through mail, say I want to search the word "tomorrow" and see all the mail that comes up, but the results are heavily populated with emails from reddit or twitter or whatever. Is there any possible way to exclude any emails in the search that included a word like reddit, or twitter?

I know on the mac version of the mail app, I can just put in my "tomorrow -reddit" and it would search for all emails with tomorrow in them but exclude everything with reddit. This doesn't work on the iPhone though. is there another way on iOS to do this?

Hello YoungTechie,

It sounds like you're looking for ways to narrow down your search when looking for specific emails in the Mail app on your iPhone. I can certainly understand the importance of being able search through emails as quickly and efficiently as possible. I'd like to help you out with this.

While there is not currently a way to exclude certain criteria like you can in macOS Mail, there are ways to further narrow down your search. You can view this info here: Search for email in Mail on iPhone. Also, you may find the info about searching and filtering emails in this support article helpful too: Search for and view email on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
