Background apps like YouTube always refreshing?

My YouTube app is constantly refreshing in the background meaning if I’m watching a video and lock or even use another app it will lose what video and the progress of that video how do I fix this cause on my XS I never have this issue.

2020 Ipad 11inch

Hello,

This is the expected behavior of the YouTube application. I personally prefer watching YouTube through Safari as these types of restrictions are not enforced.
