How long should it take an iPhone to backup? Never had a problem til now. Not backed up since late April. Space is not an issue. One message said "19 hours remaining"

If you're backing it up using iCloud, check:

Apple - Support - System Status

and/or your Wifi connection (with Internet Access) reliability and speed.

it should not take anywhere near that long to backup.


In addition to what ProustGiulio suggested, you can try stopping the backup and start over again. I have found that can help in this situation.


Go to Settings>Your Name>iCloud>Apps Using iCloud>iCloud Backup. In the next screen you can cancel the backup. If the backup will not stop and you get the spinning wheel, force close the settings app. Then restart your phone, go back to the settings and try a backup again.
