Syncing TV shows bought on iPad to iTunes

I purchased a season of a TV show on my iPad and downloaded the episodes directly onto the iPad.

Now I have connected my iPad to my computer, these are not syncing in iTunes.

In the "TV Progrmmes" section in iTunes, the "Sync TV Box" is NOT checked, which I know is likely the cause.

HOWEVER, if I check the box, I get the warning: "Are you sure you want to sync TV programmes? All existing songs, films and TV Progrmmes on the iPad [My iPad's name] will be removed and replaced with TV programmes from your iTunes library".

I therefore have not applied this change, because I don't want to loose the episodes I have downloaded.

I downloaded the episodes in iTunes on the iPad using the same iTunes account as on my computer.

Is there somewhere I should be able to re-download the episodes if they do (as the warning suggests) get wiped? I can't see this at the moment, and my biggest fear is losing the TV show and not being able re-download it.

Any illumination anyone feels they can shed on this issue would be greatly appreciated!
