How to change Apple ID on watch when I go to download an app on the Apple Watch it asks for my mothers id(I used with an old phone but have a new phone with a new number and new Apple ID) but when I check my ID in my iPhone it has my id and not my mothers. How do I change the Apple ID associated with an Apple Watch? My daughter is loaning me her Apple Watch for a few weeks so I can see if I want one. She in-synced it from her phone and did a reset, but when I go to sync it with my phone, it still requires her Apple ID. What do people do when they sell their watches to another person?

Firstly your daughter has to follow these steps;

What to do before you sell or give away your old watch

Then you can setup the watch to your phone with your apple id.
