True tone
I have an iPhone X with the latest version which is 13.5 and I don’t have the True Tone. What could be the problem?

Check Settings>Accessibility>Display & Text Size>... turn all options OFF (except the last option AutoBrightness at the very bottom).
When done, restart your X and check in Settings>Display & Brightness if True Tone option is available.
