Delete or hide apps

On Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD, you can delete apps. On Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation), you can hide them. Just highlight the app and hold down the Touch surface or Select until the app starts to jiggle. Then press the Play/Pause button and choose Delete or Hide. 

If you want to add an app back to the Home screen: 

• On Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD, open the App Store, go to Purchased, and download the app again.
• On Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation), you can unhide apps from Settings > Main Menu.

You can also hide your purchases in the App Store, so that you don't see apps on the Purchases page. 

If its a 4th Generation (HD) or 4K Apple tv, highlight the App you wish to delete, and press and hold down on the touch pad on the remote until all apps start to jiggle. Press the play/pause button on the remote, and select Delete.

If its a 3rd generation or earlier Apple TV, there are no Apps on it, only server pushed channels and the most you can do is hide them from the Settings->Main Menu screen by highlighting them and pressing the center button on the silver remote. This will change the label from "Show" to "Hide" and remove the channel from the home screen. If it says "Hide" its hidden. If its says show, its visible on the home screen.
