How long does a Macbook air last?

I want to buy a Macbook air 2020 either with I3 or I5 processor.

I have an Macbook pro 2013 with I7 inside, and it still runs as the first day I bought it.

I am considering Macbook air 13 inch against Macbook pro 13 inch I5. Which one will last me longest?

All i want to do is to surf the web and write on MS Word.

Will Macbook air with I5 or I3 last me as long as Macbook pro 13 inch I5?

Of course I know the battery needs to be switched after a couple of years but in terms of smoothness of the IOS, will it work as good as my Macbook pro 2013 with I7?
