battery health does not show up under 10.15.5 with mid 2012 macbook pro. Is there an issue with my model?

I recently updated my mac os x to 10.15.5 but the much touted battery health does not appear in my energy saver preference.

Hello, Seliotis.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

I understand after updating to macOS 10.15.5 you don't see the battery health. Being able to keep an eye out on your battery is important and I'd like to help. Which MacBook Pro do you have? About battery health management in Mac notebooks

"Battery health management is on by default when you buy a new Mac notebook with macOS 10.15.5, or after you upgrade to macOS 10.15.5 on a Mac notebook with Thunderbolt 3 ports".

This means that currently, 2016 MacBook Pro, 2018 MacBook Air or later have this option.

Best regards.
