Old iphone 4, set up with old Apple id which has been updated with a new email address.
My new (Email address) Apple id does not show this phone.
Now I can not erase the phone to give to someone else.
I have tried to erase and set up as a new devise, but it says the phone is still linked to the old apple id that has been changed to new email address.
I do not remember the old Apple id password and the old email address does not exist.
Any suggestions?

If necessary, if you are the original owner, contact Apple. They can remove the Activation Lock if provided the required paperwork. Either take the device, the original purchase receipt with the serial number, and a photo ID to the nearest Apple Store (if it has reopened)

You are out of luck. You won't be able to erase it and give it to someone else.
