What happens to my access to my music after I cancel my (non-free-trial) subscription to Apple Music?

My question is about preserving my access to my previous purchases when I cancel my subscription to Apple Music.

I can access Apple Music on either my PC or on my iPhone 8, so why does this "help" interface force a choice regarding one device or the other, unless you're really just a robot not programmed to do the search logic for "and"? Why is that?

iPhone 8 Plus, iOS 13

If you cancel your Apple Music subscription, you will lose access to any music you downloaded through that subscription. You will still have access to any music you have purchased, either from the iTunes Store or other sources or that you ripped from CDs.
