I purchased a flight ticket on the the EasyJet App couple of months ago and I asked for a refund. The status of the payment on my Apple Pay history shows "refunded" (May 16th) although the money has still not been transferred to my associated bank card/account. I am still waiting after 2 weeks now which looks unusual.

The refund would go back to the respective credit/debit card used (within the Wallet app) when you paid via Apple Pay. You will have to either check the retailer issuing the refund or the banking institution.

Brilliant! I managed to get through to EasyJet after being on hold for 2.5hrs. Apparently my refund didn’t go through correctly. Now I need to wait for someone from the finance team to contact me... within 28 days 😴
I’ve just ring them - it took 2hours to get through - to be told the refund for the Apple Pay payments were processed yesterday - although the original email said they were processed on 17th June - and I just need to wait 3-5 days for the payment to hit my account - Just hope I don’t have to ring them again!!!
I've seen people getting response to questions on Twitter so that might be an option too. Otherwise email and call....
I’ve e mailed and also sent message on social media. Part of my flight was paid for by cc and that’s been refunded in 3 days so it’s definitely a problem with Apple Pay. I’ve even messaged Martin Lewis on it.. please do so as well, the more do so the more likely to get a response!
Having spent hours getting through to customer services they admitted a problem with it and refunded manually to my debit card.. average wait on hold one hour
Same here. The bank told me they just receive the funds. There must be a delay or I was thinking if EasyJet was not slowing down the refund process to keep the cash-flow as long as possible. Given that initially they didn’t want to reimburse people, knowing they were going against the EU law. I’ve made a screen shot of my Apple Pay and bank statements to keep track of the dates just in case. I will wait till end of this month and then email them.
Same here I’ve contacted Santander who have raised a dispute - as the flights were for my wedding in Cyprus I paid 3 payments through Apple Pay and 1 just with my debit card as I kept adding luggage on - the debit card has already refunded into my account within 2 days - can’t contact easyJet unless it’s an emergency - could this just be a ploy to delay payment??
Oh no that’s not good - I’ve got to admit I was very sceptical this morning speaking to easyJet but I’m glad I rung - I’m sure I’d still be waiting otherwise!!
Hi there, I’ve been refunded today, finally after a month and half. I had plan a call back with Apple hotline today but all is fine now. I didn’t have to call easyJet. Hope same luck to you.
I also received a refund email on 20th May but still no refund in my account. Tried calling easyJet but they weren’t accepting calls. Will try calling my bank in case they can tell me whether it’s pending. Have you had any luck yet?
Nothing on my side. Haven’t tried to contact EasyJet, maybe we should write a mail? My bank won’t care that much I think.. although if the status is “refunded” on ApplePay it would mean that EasyJet paid back to the bank? I’ll call them.
Yes I agree but if they can refund my Santander debit card why can’t they refund the exact same debit card but through Apple Pay?? I don’t understand the delay??? Apparently it’s just an app to make the payment with the same card so where and what is the issue - I do feel slightly more reassured as there’s not only me with this issue but as you can’t talk to easyJet to ask what’s going on it’s a little disconcerting to say the least!!!

Thanks, it’s unusual such a delay... I’ll try to call my bank or EasyJet. It’s been 3 weeks now.
