I do not need to use my Apple Watch for phone or text service when away from home but it is useful while around the house. If I cancel the cellular plan connected to the watch, will I still be able to receive calls and text on the watch at home and keep the phone and watch paired? The phone will be on and close by.

As long as you don’t have thick concrete walls you will be fine. Your watch can do EVERYTHING the cellular plan can as long as you are connected to your iPhone or your WiFi in your house.

Thank you for the quick response. It will be on a single level floor and just save the carrying of the phone. I always have my phone when I am away from home and I always will just use that.
