Factory Unlocked iPhone 4 T-Mobile US APN Settings

I have an Factory Unlocked iPhone 4 in the United States and need to know the APN settings and MMS settings for the internet. I know that only EDGE works but that is fine with me. Can anyone help me. Thanks.

I am also running iOS 4 as I am unable to update to 4.0.1 due to iTunes not being able to reach the iPhone update servers.

If theres a fix for the update servers also please let me know. Thanks.

If you bought your phone in the US, there are NO factory Unlocked phones here...if you bought it outside of the US, your carrier will give you the settings...

Try this, no guarantee it will still work though:

Go to Settings – General – Network – Cellular Data Network. In the APN field enter wap.voicestream.com, leave the username and password blank. That, hopefully will get EDGE running on your iPhone.

APN i used was internet2.voicestream.com
I have the $10 unlimited plan. A little slower than 3g but works like a charm. EDGE is still moving along. haha

i've read on other postings that t-mo knows that you're using an iphone on the $10 unlimited data plan. they will either 1) upgrade you to the $30 plan for smartphones, or 2) prevent your data service. since edge is slow, you might not consume too much data for them to notice...

Are you sure. I don't think that T-Mobile has the physical right to upgrade you without your knowledge nor does it have the right to cancel your internet plan. Even if they do know, my phone has a UK serial number so they might hopefully think its from the UK, as the iPhone 4 is sold by T-Mobile in the UK. Hopefully I'm right. Thanks

hi. just want to ask if at this time, there are still no factory unlocked iphones in the US.

I know in the UK, Canada, France, Hongkong, etc., iphones are factory unlocked. I'm not sure though if at this time, there are still no factory unlocked iphones in the US. I'm also considering the fact that the government ruled that jailbreaking is legal.

There are no factory unlocked iPhones or other smartphones in the US. This has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that jailbreaking is "legal". Carriers still have no obligation whatsoever to unlock their phones.
