Epson Stylus 2200 stopped because of full maintenance tank

Does anybody know how to get to maintenance tank of Epson Stylus Photo 2200 and how to replace it or direct me to appropriate forum. The tank (pad) is apparently full and needs to be replaced. I can't use the printer and am too far from authorized service.

I was able to get to the surface of the tank and could dry the pad and clean the tube. However, red flashing of all ink lights and paper light continues despite the manual reset. I am reluctant to pay $130 - 150 for a service call when I can get a new Epson Artisan 800 for $160. The service repair simply isn't cost efficient when I can't do it myself. Also, it could be something else.

Actually I am using inkrepublic 3800 refillable system now and the good thing is that I dont have to buy any waste tanks any more. This system can reset the waste tanks every time when it gets full. And I just need to modify the tank by placing some cotton in it to soak the waste ink. very easy and env friendly.
you can follow the instruction below if you get a 3800 or 3880 system from them.
