ipod Nano 7th generation black screen

My Nano will not turn on.

I tried the POWER/VOLUME DOWN for about 2 minutes. No results.

I then started iTunes running.

Connect the device to the laptop

The device was recognized by itunes.

I then tried the POWER/VOLUME DOWN for about 2 minutes. No results.


Any suggestions on how to continue?
