Powering off: alarm sound

Hello, a few minutes ago, I tried to power off my phone (IPhone XS), and when pressing both buttons to do so, it made a very loud alarm sound (repeated 3 times) and one of my friend’s name (form Instagram) appeared on my phone. I was wondering what it was and what it meant?

Hi,

Does this sound sound like a siren? If so, it's probably because you held the buttons for a bit too long and it was about to call the emergency services. You can always turn the sound off by going into Settings > Emergency SOS > Toggle Off Countdown Sound. But do keep in mind that holding a volume button and the side button does call the emergency services.
