You mean specifically “newest” As 10x is USB-C and 10x are still being sold.
As an aside, while Apple did revert back to lightning, the 12 will finally be be the end of it.
For only a bit more, he could get this instead of a soon to be eol cable:
APEKX Clip Bluetooth Audio Adapter for Headphones, Headset, Speaker, Wireless Receiver with MIC for Hands-Free Call and Music
& yes, it’s only a $9 cable, but he could keep his headphone investment, use the Clip for listening to other bluetooth transmitted music, and save is green for an iPhone 13 with 5G.
Considering that even the most expensive lightning cables and adapters suffer from Middle Pin Burnout, he’ll be spending that $9 more than once.
This is what I found on the internet. Apple removed headphone jack from iPhone starting with 2016's iPhone 7. That is, unfortunately, the oldest model Apple can sell on its website. How ever you can still get a slightly older iPhone elsewhere, install the latest iOS firmware, and still enjoy your wired headphones from there. OR another option is to call Apple Care the telephone 800 number and its free now because I used it a week ago. How to transfer my iPhotos to my Apple desktop and free up space on my old iPhone 6+ which I did too. Ask your question that you have on this Apple discussion site.
What are you going on about? No, the iPhone X was not USB-C, it used a Lightning port just like the XR, the XS, XS Max, etc. Apple may use a USB-C connector on the 12 but that is speculation. Apple never "reverted back" to Lightning.
And yes, I had an iPhone X (Apple doesn't sell them anymore), and an XS Max.
I've never had middle pin burnout, but I don't really trust someone who thinks Apple used USB-C then reverted back.
I'm not "going on" about anything. Yes, I misspoke about USB-C, that's my iPad Pro.
I've had every version of iPad since it was created, most every iPhone for one family member or another, and have been using apple products since its inception. I still have a NeXT. heh.
As for burnout, you must be the only person who hasn't.
As for trust, I don't trust jerks who don't like opinions not their own.
You need to learn the difference between opinions and facts. You have a right to your own opinion but not to your own facts.
I never said anything about whether he liked them or not. And I provided a link that is the recommended answer to the OP. So where do you think I said something negative about his Bose headphones.
And no, I've never had it and I don't know anyone who has personally.
I have the new iPhone but cannot pair with Bose headphones through Bluetooth. Any suggestions?
Make sure there are no other devices that are auto connecting with the Bose then put them in pairing mode. Then go to Settings > Bluetooth and tap on the Bose name to connect.
Long time didn’t replace my headphones
So you have older Bose wired headphones and someone wouldn't replace them?
The gentleman did say “newer iPhone”. Newer iPhones use USB C.
The "newer" iPhones would be the 11 series and they use a Lightning connector on the phone, not USB-C.
Wow. So you gain posts just by demeaning people? What if he LIKES his Bose Wired Headphones. So much for "Be Nice" in the rules. Feh.
Get in the last word, i'll not read it.
*Points not posts.
Where is the pairing mode
