How do I get to printer work

Printer is missing again.

It could be alot of different things. It really depends on what kind of printer you have. Is it Wifi enabled? or is it older and need a USB cable to connect?


Either way, you'll need to go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners. If your printer is already in the list to the left, check to see if it's Online or Offline. If it's offline, but it's power on, it could be damaged cord. You can also, right click on the printer for context menu and there is an option to Reset Printer System.


If there is no printer listed on the left, you can click on the + sign below, and another window will pop up that lets you search for available printers. Depending on the brand and type you have, you may be prompted to install software from the manufacturer. But sometimes you can just use the native printer drivers built into macOS.
