Do app vendors use my Apple ID to contact me?

Apple says do not share Apple ID with anyone. How can I prevent apps from using my Apple ID to email me?

Apps you downloaded do not have your Apple ID.

They mean, for example, that if you and your partner have iPhones, then it may not be a good idea to use the same Apple ID.

They may be getting your email address if you are using your Apple ID to log into the app.
