Apple Maps doesn't load - only the grid

Happens when scaled to 1:25, zoomed in or out to 3 scale divisions (if you understand what I'm talking about: if there're only 2 scale divisions then the image is drawn) and only in the standard view. Loads images in the other 2 modes just fine at any scaling ratio. Further zooming out it keeps showing just the nearby area of the preceding 1:25 scaling ratio and at default scaling which is the world only the grid is visible.
