I keep receiving a message 330-33 telling me "Test me!" What the **** is this?

Number not associated with phone Hi, I am getting the following message under settings > messages > send & receive ”This number is registered to your Apple ID but is not associated with this phone. You can keep using the number for iMessage and FaceTime until it expires.” Unsure why I am getting this message as my phone has been paid for the year. I have recently change service providers from Optus to Kogan and wondering if this may have the issues? Additionally, when under the numbers there are my current number and emails address but also a random number that I don’t use. Any he would be appreciated. Cheers John

I am getting popup messages that say my “apple id and phone number are associated.” Is this a problem/scam? How can I tell if the messages I described above are reliable apple communications? One said that a new iPhone was trying to use my apple ID and phone number to send iMessages.

Forward it to your carrier’s SPAM message short code so they can block it. E.g. for AT&T it is 7726 which is used by a lot other carriers as well. When I have forwarded SPAM to 7726, it never comes back, so at least AT&T does act on those.

contact your cellular provider and ask. it's not from Apple and it's not from iOS.
