I have an iphone xr didnt have a passcode to enter and woke up it had one on screen and locked myself out

I have my dad's iphone xr he passed away 2 weeks ago i been using his phone and there was no passcode on start up screen then after a week one showed up and i disabled the iphone and cant get into it i need someone to unlock it without losing all his things
