All my apps have started asking for "app specific" passwords but Apple errors out

I log in to Apple and immediately get "session has timed out for your security" when I click on "Generate app specific password"

iMac Line (2012 and Later)

app specific password Im trying to generate an app specific password and to do that you have to log into appleid.apple.com but every time I do so it comes up with the same error message. Any idea on how to fix it?

There was a server problem that now appears to be fixed.
