Why do I have to pay for an app that I someone in my iCloud Family bought?

Someone in my iCloud Family bought an app that I have been using for some time and now I can´t access it, we turned sharing purchases off, does it have to be on for me to keep using it?

You turned off the feature that allows you to use that app.
