In Messages Vs. 12 on Mac OS 10.14.6 sometimes when I paste or copy a URL over to a blank messages window it does not appear in the window so I re-paste it, but the recipient ends up with multiple copies of the url when I only see a blank window.

Thank you for reaching out at Apple Support Communities today. If I understand correctly you’re attempting to send a URL to someone via the Messages app on your Mac running macOS Mojave, and while it doesn’t appear for you in the preview pane, it appears for the recipient several times.
Have you tried using the Share option in the menu bar in Safari to send the links?

I am curious to know if the link appears for you when you use this method. If not, you might try some basic troubleshooting.

Thanks for your reply - just tested the method you suggested - using the share option in the Safari Menu Bar and totally worked! Tried from two different Sites: WaPo.com and Macrumors.com and both times the Link & Content instantly appeared in the recipients Message Window!
