Unable to connect to email server after updating release 13.5.1

I recently installed the security update 13.5.1 on the iPhone X and now my mail is unable to connect to my email server. I've checked the settings and they are correct and reset network settings. I can still get my email on my phone and through the respective websites, but I cannot get them through the mail app. Any suggestions for how to fix this? Mail says it's connecting to the internet but cannot reach the mail servers through the ports.
